Standing out in a crowd

Here’s my very first entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge that wordpress.com organizes.

I took this black and white photo with my analog camera (developed the film, enlarged the photo and then scanned it). The photo is taken in Liège (Belgium), on the ‘place Saint-Lambert’ in the city centre. On this day, the professional ‘Liege-Bastogne-Liege’ road cycling race was about to start and the big square was packed with people. Cycling teams from around the world gathered here to get ready for the race and everyone was hoping to catch a glimpse of them. Well, everyone but these two… Thanks to the surrounding crowd, they never noticed that I had my camera pointed in their direction. Perfect timing for a kiss!
